My Inaugural Monthly Challenge for Scraptures!

We're at the mid-way point in what has been a very warm and sunny summer in most parts of the country. Let's see your SUNSHINE layouts (or cards). Just use the word "sun" or use a photo of fun in the sun or anything that screams SUNSHINE to you.

Here are two of my sunniest family members, dressed in yellow on a Very Sunny Day.

Scraptures!

I've got a secret!  Well it's not much of a secret anymore, I've been asked to be part of the design team over at Scraptures (http://www.scraptures.ca/) for the next three months. This means that I'll be using their lovely kits to scrapbook and provide inspiration for the members.

I can't wait to get started! My term officially began on Aug 1 but life has been so crazy with dh away and my cute little gd and her mommy sticking around for the month, that I've not had a lot of time to spend letting you all know what's going on.

I'll be working on the blog more in the coming weeks as little Miss Cutie goes home next week just after her first birthday. Wow, time flies! Anyway, in the mean time, check out the forum. It's a nice little place with a lot of inspiration.

Back from the West

Well, we arrived home last night after putting another 5000 km on the old green van. That thing has been so faithful over the years and didn't let us down this trip either. Gabby was a great little traveller and managed the six solid days of driving (three there and three back) like a champ. We lamented (jokingly) that we were just getting "good" at getting in and out of the car on day five. I also think day five is the day that a few of us lost our minds and Dad went for the ear plugs. Thankfull day six we were all so tired, we slept and he drove in peace.

One of the highlights of the trip was of course seeing the kids and spending time with them. Ds and dil celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary while we were there so of course lots of photos were taken of them.

Gorgeous aren't they?
