Over at Sisterhood of Scrap, Helen has been informing us of all sorts of random holiday. April 1 was One Cent Day and in honor of that esteemed day, and the fact that our federal budget came down and they are going to eliminate this little coin, I felt that I had to do a layout with pennies on it.
The other day we were at Michael's and saw some "grab bags". My hubby couldn't resist the $2 price tag and I have to admit that we got more than $2 worth in each of our 3 bags. I had all the paper laid out on the dining room table today when he walked by and started to look at it. He really admired this one random piece of paper in the pile so I used it for him. Father's Day 2011 was worth at least a penny or two..
The scrap room is almost done! I'll share photos soon. :-)
Have a scrap-happy day!

More sports!
As I mentioned yesterday it was a blah weekend around here. Hubby was more than happy to have a project to work on and cut out this "Hoops" die cut for me using a free .svg file and our Makes the Cut program.
Here's another of my nephews in his team photo. This time it's basketball that takes centre stage!
Using the Moxxie "Nothin but Net" paper from Tina and some of those adorable eyelet outlet brads, this page came together quick and easy (thanks to hubby's die cut!)

Soccer!
Tina gave me some sports papers to work with recently. Since it's been so long since my own kids played, I had to call on the relatives for some photos. My sister's husband came through with a few wonderful photos of their boys' team photos.
It was a grey, blah weekend so had hubby turn loose his Makes The Cut program for our Cricut and make me some die cuts to compliment these papers. Here you see the large soccer ball he formatted and cut for me. (He said, "Oh yay! A project!" - yes, the weekend was *that* blah.... )
Featurning the Soccer page from the Reminisce series of paper as well as Eyelet outlet Brads, all of which you can purchase through Tina, I think it turned out pretty well. If you follow the links to the Reminisce paper, you can see this boy's big brother in his football garb... just saying. ;-)
