Great Crop!

What a great productive weekend over at Scrap~tures! I wish I'd had more time to participate but was pleased to see all the different layouts and cards created.

If you still want to get in on the action, Denise is keeping the challenges open until next Sunday April 24 so if you want to get in on the fun and prizes, you still have time.

Check it out!

Early Bird Crop Challenge!

Ready for a Road trip? How about a three-hour tour?

Remember the television show Gilligan’s Island? Well, like Gilligan and his cohorts, we’re going on a trip. If you want to hear the theme song of this iconic television show, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfR7qxtgCgY. Gilligan’s Island ran for three seasons from 1964-1967. It delighted many viewers who watched the shipwrecked castaways attempting to leave the remote island, while various opportunities present themselves. They typically fail owing to some bumbling error committed by Gilligan (with the exception of "The Big Gold Strike", where everyone except Gilligan is responsible for their failed escape). Sometimes this would result in his saving the others from some unforeseen flaw in their plan.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!

To participate in this "tour" you must lift the CARD OR LAYOUT of the person in front of you.

The only twist is that we will use the word “Gilligan” as a tool for playing this “game”. For instance, I used the “G” as inspiration for my layout by scrapping a GIRL. The person who follows me will use an “I” and the person after that uses an “L” and so on. Once the name “Gilligan” is spelled out in entirety, the next person goes back to the beginning with the “G” in Gilligan.

The KEY is that unlike the castaways, you only have ONE HOUR to post your completed project...

...you must dibs your turn by posting "DIBS" after the preceding project.

If someone else has called DIBS you must wait until they have uploaded their project to DIBS that one...

Once your completed project is uploaded, you may take the special blinkie that let’s the world know that you’ve not only taken the tour, but survived to tell the tale as well!

Have fun and let’s take as many trips as possible this weekend!

Scrap~tures Retro Road Trip blog hop

Welcome to Scrap~tures Retro Road Trip blog hop!!

Thanks so much for joining us! We are very excited show you some scrappy projects from the ‘past’ and hope that you gain lots of inspiration and continue to hop with us!!

If you just happened by this blog and didn't realize a blog hop was taking
place, please go back to Scrap~tures
and start the Hop. You won't
want to miss all the inspiration from our team....... or the chance to win a Rak :-)

With the theme of the crop being "retro", I thought I'd share a "retro technique" that was all the rage back in my early days of scrap booking. This mosaic done for my son's wedding album was one of the hardest layouts I've ever done, but so rewarding! I love how it turned out.

This blog hop will run from today, April 15th  – April 17th Scrap~tures will be
drawing for winner on April 18th.

Follow along in our blog hop! Your next stop is Catherine!

Thanks for stopping by! If you comment and sign up as a new follower to my blog, I will put your name, and the name of the person who referred you to me, in a drawing for a nice little gift certificate to the Scrap~tures store! Happy hopping!
