All month long, Scrap~tures has been celebrating its first birthday with challenges and inspiration daily. I had a birthday card to make this month so chose the challenge from Day 3 found here
If the young lady for whom the card is intended, was at my house for her birthday, I'd probably make her a delectible chocolate cake. Here is our family's favourite recipe!

Chocolate Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients:
½ cup oatmeal
1 cup boiling water
½ cup margarine
4 TB cocoa

1½ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Mix first set of ingredients and let sit a few min. Add rest of ingredients. Mix and pour into 8x8 pan. Bake at 350ยบ for 35 min.
