The last time I'll type that year as a current date, I imagine. 2010 has been a good year for our family. I have enjoyed my scrapping and other adventures and want to wish everyone a safe and healthy new year.

We'll have our annual card out soon, hope you enjoy it.

As of January 1st we are no longer charging taxes on any store or kit purchases

Unfortunately though, we have no choice but to increase shipping and handling charges. Due to Canada Post rate increases and the implementaion of HST we have to raise our rates as follows...

shipping in Ontario will increase from $8 to $10.
shipping in all other provinces will increase from $10 to $12
and shipping to the USA will increast from $12 to $14

In the end, you are still saving a bit of money with saving the taxes, for example,, an Ontario subscriber currently pays $47.55 per month for their kit, whereas starting in January, will only be paying $45.00.

So now is as good a time as any to finally make the decision to sign up for Scrap~tures kits!!

Not ignoring you!

No, my faithful followers, I haven't been ignoring you. I've been busy doing various projects around the house in preparation for my NEW SCRAPTURES DECEMBER KIT to arrive (and it did) and I'm DROOLING all over my keyboard at the gorgeous-ness of it!

I've been clearing a path through my scrap room so I can get started creating with these beautiful papers.

I've also been wrapping Christmas gifts and organizing flights home for my dd for Christmas. I DID go to a card making class - taught by the very talented Michelle Sturgeon - on Friday night and as soon as it's light enough, I want to take a photo of the beautiful cards and show you.

So I'm not ignoring you.. I do think of you often. :-)

A friend sent me this link http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/allinonebox/ and I thought it looked easy enough even for a dysfunctional 'crafter' like myself so I gave it a try.

No word of a lie. If you're looking for a fun, fast and decorative little "favour" look no further. Even with my lame paper folding skills, I was able to complete the first one I did in 20 minutes - slightly longer than the video at the link above. Deciding to try the "embossed" variation - even allowing for time spent going back and forth between my computer and my cuttlebug (different rooms), the second one took even less time.

Embellishing is definitely the most fun step. You know me with my ribbon and flower fetish!  

Let's see what you can do ladies! From everyone who completes this little project - AND UPLOADS IT TO THE GALLERY AND THIS THREAD - I'll draw for a RAK from moi. Enough incentive?

Yes, I know I've been MIA here in blog-world lately. I've come back from a month of travel - first to see my grandbaby and then to see my other babies. Good time but I'm glad to be home.
